The Children’s Cancer Care Treatment Center
The Children’s Cancer Care Treatment Center is a charitable project spearheaded by Venerable Arjia Rinpoche, aimed at addressing the critical need for cancer treatment in Mongolia, particularly for children. This project, launched through the collaboration between the Tibetan Center for Wisdom & Compassion and the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center (TMBCC), is designed to provide comprehensive care for children suffering from cancer.
The treatment center is located at the Maternity Hospital in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Its mission is to alleviate the burden of cancer for children and their families by offering modern medical treatments and comfortable facilities where children can receive care. The center includes units for both single and double occupancy, ensuring that parents can stay with their children during the treatment process.
Arjia Rinpoche, drawing inspiration from the Buddhist principles of compassion and service, has been a driving force behind this project. He has worked closely with international medical experts and organizations to bring cutting-edge treatment options to Mongolia. The project has garnered support from both local and international donors, and Arjia Rinpoche continues to encourage benevolent contributions to sustain and expand the center’s capabilities. The center also plans to reach more remote areas in Mongolia through mobile medical units, further extending its support.
This initiative is part of Rinpoche’s broader efforts to support Mongolian communities, rooted in his deep connection to both Tibetan and Mongolian Buddhism. The project symbolizes the union of spiritual compassion and practical service, embodying the Buddhist ideal of alleviating suffering.
